Welcome to The HLB Studio Blog! I’m Alicia. Thank you for following along on my journey to empower women and inspire self-confidence through boudoir. I’ve been a wedding photographer for 8 years (check out Happy Little Life Photography) and started down this path toward boudoir about 4 years ago. I recently changed my business name (formerly Happy Little Boudoir), updated my website and added this blog! I’m so excited to see what is next on this journey! 

I will be using this space to highlight the boudoir experience as told from my client’s perspective. It’s one thing to hear it from me about how I think every woman should have this experience for themselves, but it’s another thing to hear it from my clients. If you are reading this, I hope you will come back periodically to see stories from other women and learn more about how a boudoir experience with The HLB Studio has impacted them. Kicking us off for this very first blog post is a sweet friend who traveled all the way from New Jersey for her session last year. 

What made you choose The HLB Studio for your boudoir experience?  

I loved how the pictures were taken, the backgrounds, etc. I did a virtual session during COVID and I loved it! I knew Alicia would take good care of me, making me feel relaxed during the whole process!

How were you feeling going into the experience?

I was a little nervous but was also equally excited. Alicia explained everything perfectly walking me through the entire process so I knew what to expect. I felt prepared. I arrived and was welcomed with a warm greeting, a place to put my things, a drink to relax, snacks, and all the fun pampering began!

How do you feel now that you’ve had this experience with The HLB Studio?

I am so so happy that I chose to do this! I look at some of these pictures and can’t believe that it is me! I did it for myself and so that I can look back at them. I already feel proud when I see them so I can only imagine how I’ll feel in 20 years when I look at them. I would love to do it again!!

What is one thing that you will take away/take with you from this experience?

There’s a few things I’ll take away! First a confident, proud and sexy side was brought out during the session that I can’t truly explain. But it’s a side that I’m happy Alicia found. Let alone the pictures in a beautifully made book to remind me of that side if I forget.
